This was years in the making. Like any industry, the outdoor / firearm space has its ups and downs. I’ve watched companies, specifically new ones, who didn’t understand how to navigate the “behind the scenes” areas learn the hard way that not everyone you deal with has the best intentions for you or your business. I want to offer my services to assist in sales (internal and external), marketing, new product design and development, merger and procurement questions, etc.

I have been directly and indirectly involved with the firearms industry for nearly 20 years from a customer, competitive shooter as well as an Executive. This includes retail, OEM, distribution, manufacturing, QC, etc. I have experience from the design room to the production floor and then to the consumer.

We also offer event management and can help with events like outdoor range days, event coordination, sponsor management, etc. We have ties to ranges all over the country and can help you coordinate your next marketing event.

A little about my background.

I started out in IT over 20 years ago and rapidly moved up the chain from Manager to Director and then eventually, CIO. After many years of CIO roles, I transitioned into my first CEO position and was involved with several major firearm related projects. Some that were in severe distress. I’ve seen the good, bad and the ugly. I have a BS in Computer Science / IT / Security from Limestone University and am certified by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Criminal Justice Division and have both a CWP and CWP Instructors certification. I am also an NRA certified Instructor for both handgun and reloading. I’ve been in Executive management for over 20 years and am at a point in my life where I would rather help others in this industry succeed over being part of a team that wants them to fail. I’ve had numerous IT related certifications over the years and have an extensive background in technology.

I also have over 20 years of competitive shooting sports and have won or placed at many levels of many different formats. I previously held 2 stage World Records as well as possessed 7 GM level classifications.

My wife and I own The Proving Grounds as well as Carolina Shooters Group and host nearly 50 matches across 6 different states with 6 unique events. We collect data at these events that we use for sponsorship, marketing and trend analysis. We could see upwards of 5000 shooters this year alone.
